Born in Biel in 1962, studied philosophy, modern German literature, science and art history. He worked as a free-lance author for the radio program "Reflective Philosophy" (Radio DRS 2), and as a teacher of philosophy at the Wirtschaftsgymnasium Olten. In 1995 he graduated with a PhD and became a staff member at the Nietzsche-Edition Basel. From 1997 to 2002 he taught philosophy at the University of Basel. Since 2002 he has been working as a free-lance writer and researcher for the "Initium" project. He is a teacher and consultant in philosophy and anthroposophy and he holds seminars for companies, organizations and high schools. Since 2010 he has been a contributor to the Hardenberg Institute in the framework of Dialogical Leadership/Dialogical Culture. He is the initiator and director of the Philosophicum in Basel that opened in September 2011.
